CHANGE IS EASY. CHANGING IS HARD.

There was a chant I used to participate in back in my days as a Seahorse on Munster’s High School Swim team:

My back is aching, my arms are sore
My coach is yelling for more and more.
My team is super, my coach is great
See you later ~ down at State!

While this is a stretch by all means, I definitely hear this chant in my head right now as I’ve been up since before the dawn, awaiting the arrival of my Moon (yes, I cheer my monthly cycle on!…see this post for more), with my head already in full gear about all I was going to accomplish today in regards to my website and marketing planning.
My back, arms and more are definitely aching and sore.  Only slightly from my Moon and more so from sitting at a computer, looking at this screen and getting tossed around like the seaweed on the NorCal coast.  From site to site, idea to idea, from one direction to another I bounce as I fine tune, throw out and redo verbiage, pictures and more on website.
My coach is yelling for more and more.
Yes, a picture of me in one of my fearless “I AM” moments.
I started in on my Marketing Coaching today with Lisa Cain from MarketingU.com and in just 30 short minutes, I had built myself (with her guidance) a nice little-to-do list that has kept me busy the rest of today.  This was an extremely helpful and useful time well spent with Lisa…and it is not Lisa that is yelling for more and more…it is my internal voice that is just so excited to see everything coming together – although not as fast as I would like.  Yes, I’m still struggling with those feelings and voices that want it “NOW” versus the reality that platform building, website tweaking take time.  A million moving parts there are now-a-days in the age of social media…and each one has its own learning curve to learn, to integrate with the others and of course several minutes of on-the-verge yelling, arms flailing and head turning round and round as I give up trying to figure this all out.
One really really cool thing that came out of my call today is that Lisa suggested I rename Practice Joy Dance Therapy (my 7 week series for women to learn their history, embody their realities and get down to the beat) to something along the lines of “Practice Joy Embodied Story“….and how fitting that is that it ties in with my own journey to become a storyteller…which is really what we ALL are, isn’t it?
We both got the chills!
My team is super…
I’m still trying to build my team…and am looking for those team members if you want to be a part of it.
If you are any of the following – would LOVE to talk to you like yestereday!
* a website developer/designer…especially if you know Squarespace (where my current website is and really do like their templates)…I have a laundry list of things I need to take care of.
* a graphic artist – I need help designing a log
* a high school, college, stay-at-home parent or anyone that loves social media and wants to use your mad SM skills to help build my platform for the cause of Eradicating Abuse!
And if you or someone you know could benefit from my experience and knowledge of abuse and how to divorce yourself from it, please do not hesitate to send them to my website www.practicejoycoach.com or my email practicejoycoach[at]gmail[dot]com.  I am excited to meet the women and men that I will be partnering with along this journey!
My Coach is Great.
Yes, couldn’t agree more.  And yes, I do have coaches even being a coach.  I know the importance of having a Sponsor and how it keeps me focused and moving forward.
See you later ~ down at State!
Yes, I will definitely be seeing you later…and now and then and sometime in between.  But it might not be at State….but perhaps on Skype?  You, me and your first complimentary 30 min Exploring Embodied Coaching session?  What do you say?
If that is a yes, I’m sending you a virtual high five and big fat hug.  So excited to be meeting you soon!  Click here and fill out the form at the bottom there.
Talk real soon now you hear?
Your Practice Joy Coach,
Holli Christine McCormick
