A bit over a year ago, I sat in my life coaching training with the Academy of Coaching & NLP in the beautiful backdrop of Corte Madera, CA. During the first day of class Helen Attridge had us up and moving, using tools that incorporated the entire body – not just the intellectual. I jumped for joy inside knowing that I indeed had chosen the right training for me. During the next day of class, Helen had us pull out another tool from our binders: the Pie Chart tool.
I balked at this one, feeling the resistance build inside of me.
I had no desire to
put some type of analytical evaluation to the different segments of my life.
Yet somehow I stepped out of my prejudices and decided to give this tool a shot for what it was worth.
A year later this one seemingly small tool I had so much resistance to has had some of the most dramatic effect on my life. It was this tool that showed me exactly where I needed to first focus my attention – housing and community – in order to get the ball rolling in all other areas of my life ~ so to speak. Unbeknownst to me a seed was planted.
A month after class was over, I was living in a better environment.
A year later, the community – more like the Family I have ALWAYS dreamt of IS happening.
The amazing thing is I wouldn’t say that I pushed and pulled and strove to build my community by the sweat of my brow as my number one focus. Yep, I was more focused on my business, a man, healing and finding my Magic than I was on community.
In the mean time, as I look back from this distance, I can see that with that small seed I planted from that one tool that I originally abhorred…
that the Magic of the seed planting process had been going on just beneath my nose.
* The seed began to be watered in the dark places with a phone call here and a conversation over there.
* Then it began to sprout with a commitment to experiment with something new.
* Finally it found its strength to push out into the light and start to grow above the ground when I experienced my physical back break that pushed me to ask for help publicly – brining in the wide resources of my community.
Yes indeed, the invisible became visible in these last few months.
All of this makes me marvel again at the Magic of this world and how the manifestation process happens. We plant a seed…and then we let it go. We do not try to control it, tell it what it should do, nor when and how. We simply let it go and let it grow on its on timing. The more we hold onto the seed of intention, the more we stress about it and attempt to demand it follows our demands – well that can actually 
suffocate the seed or produce something less than.
On the contrary, if we plant the seed then step out of the way ~
if we simply open up our hands, our hearts and our energy with
EXCITED expectation of wonderment and curiosity
on how and when the seed will start to show itself…
oh my goodness is all I can say!
