My Burning Man Experience? Much like the Church.

This is one of the hardest posts that I have struggled with now for a few hours to put together.  I have filmed my take several times…and this is what I am going with.

Please please please know that this is my story and my take on this event…and with that there is both the good, the bad, the ugly and the Longing for something more.

I am sure I will continue to view this experience with new lite as time marches on. There is sooo much I picked up during my time there…so much I could share and that will influence my choices going forward.  (I.E. My footprint on the earth.)

While I had the quintessential fun, laughable and deep experiences I heard others talk about on the playa – I saw a very different side I didn’t expect and that left me longing, yearning and desiring more for myself and our Earth.

In short, I will not say “I will never go back,” for I know how that might turn out.  So I will say that I’m ready to move on and experience real life, on a daily basis…and to make the greatest impact here, now, where I am at.

In short, on the 13th anniversary 9*11…I am reminded more than ever that the real work I feel called to share is the INTERNAL work of removing any idea that there is an “Other” to begin with.  That as soon as we create an “Other” out of the “Man”, the government, the terrorists, the patriarchy, the men that abuse women…we create an “Other” inside of us and separation is inevitable.  (Much like the idea of Original Sin creates a separation internally that CANNOT be bridged by an external force.)  If we wish to heal that separation externally in our world, we have to learn ourselves the ways that repair that separation and then share that way with those around us.

Hope you enjoy hearing a different perspective.
