Last week I cuddled up on the phone with a friend and fellow coach, Dina Robison in my first interview about my love life and coaching since my divorce.
I met Dina a few years back, before either of us had started our training to become coaches. We stayed loosely in contact over the last few years and when I got ready to launch my business this past Spring, I called for a meeting. At the meeting, we swapped stories of how we got into coaching – and about love since this was her area of focus. I learned that Dina’s approach is to utilize the law of attraction and consciousness to help women become aware, specific and deliberate first with themselves so that they can then select a mate wisely, not blindly.
Dina shared that much of my recent experiences with men was what had led her to pull out of the dating scene completely, to work on herself and her own wounds for 2 years before going back out there. I resonated with much of her story of frustration, heartbreak and resolution to make changes ~ yet had my doubts about her approach. However, when I got home that afternoon, it dawned on me that it could be advantageous to trade services since we were trained in different modalities. This would give me a first hand opportunity to see how her approach would work, giving me more awareness in this area of my life if nothing else.
Well, the last 4 months I have seen so much movement, change and shifting happening as I bring more and more awareness to an area of my life that has greatly impacted my entire life – my intimate relationships. If you would like to hear where I’ve been, what I have learned and how I am now moving forward in this area of my life – you can listen here.
