Faith is a funny thing…isn’t it? I mean we say in the Church that God gives us the faith to believe…and that we can pray for faith. I never had a shortage of faith since that first moment I believed 16+ years ago…and yet, where does this comment that “God gives us faith to believe” ~ where does that leave me now? I didn’t ask for my faith to be taken away, I didn’t go looking for God to be disproved…I was just looking for Truth. More than that, I don’t feel that I’ve lost anything from my life. I still have faith, but it is just redirected towards, well towards a Divine that embodies an image of both the masculine and feminine. Towards Love…towards the Hope that that Love brings. If you want to put an image to that Love, to make an idol so you have something “concrete” to look at…then I suppose you could do that by calling Love Jesus…if that helps you visualize what LOVE can look like.
