I found an awesome group on Facebook…a page entitled “Help Heal Depression through Music“. As I’ve been on my journey out of oppression and depression, I have been amazed at how much music has helped me reflect, lift my mood and Practice Joy. While I fully get that music touches the very soul, I wrote this comment a few days ago on their page:
“…it amazes me that just words set to music becomes so much more than just the two parts…”
I do not understand how music does what it does…I just know it does what it does and I am grateful for so much great music out there now-a-days!
On this note, a new friend of mine shared that a friend of hers from SoCal, Christa Black, wrote a book sort of based on what I want to do with Practice Joy…so I thought I would share it here with you. You can purchase a digital album as well, and each song goes with a chapter of the book. Only issue is the book isn’t available to purchase again until Sept 2012!
I’m off to see if I can round up the book from another source…and see if I can get a one-on-one with this amazing woman.
