When you are feeling anxious/irritated or otherwise unable to move forward with your day, take 5 minutes to reconnect.
The feelings of fear, anxiety, depression, irritated, etc. are often built in indicators that perhaps you have momentarily forgotten to connect yourself to Yourself. Often times, getting quiet and attempting on of the following for just a few minutes will be all you need to go about your day.
* do some soul gazing: look in the mirror into your own eyes and listen for what comes to you.
* lay down in the grass under the sky and soak up the warmth while listening for how you are connected to all around you.
* close your eyes when it is safe and pull your attention down into your body, towards your heart and see if you can feel yourself there.
“But I don’t have time for this!” I can hear myself saying. I simply answer this fear with, “What if by taking 5 minutes to reconnect I create more time for all that needs to get done because I will be able to focus and think clearer?”
